How to hide last seen in whatsapp Android

Method 1:  Hide Last Seen on WhatsApp from Settings

      Recently Facebook announced its decision of acquiring WhatsApp and the deal has been done for a whopping $19 billion. Because of this deal WhatsApp founders and employees became millionaires overnight, but what you got with this deal? Recently WhatsApp has released a new update for WhatsApp Android and fortunately the latest update has a privacy setting allowing to hide last seen time message on WhatsApp.

      The Latest version of WhatsApp is not available on Google Play Store, but you can download the beta version from WhatsApp website.  Follow below steps to do the same.

Step 1:  Download and Install latest version of WhatsApp for Android

Step 2: Open WhatsApp > Settings > Privacy > then Tap on Last Seen and select Nobody

That’s it! You have successfully disabled WhatsApp last seen feature.

Method 2: Hide Last Seen on WhatsApp using Android App

      If the first method didn’t work for you then try this Android app called “Last Not Seen”. What this app does is it blocks your android phone internet network so that the seen status cannot be updated to the server. Follow below steps to see how to use this app.

Step 1: Download and Install Last not Seen (this is not a play store link but direct download link, because the app is no longer available on play store)

Step 2: Once downloaded, open the app and check or tick “Block Last Seen”

      That’s it! Now whenever you open WhatsApp your internet connection will be disabled and your seen status will not be updated. And when leave WhatsApp or hide it your internet connection will be enabled.

      The second method is software based, now if you don’t want to use any software on your device then you can do it manually and the manual process is explained in method 3.

Method 3: Hide WhatsApp Last Seen Manually

      As I said earlier if you don’t want to install any software on your phone to hide last seen then you can do it manually by tweaking your network setting. To do this, follow these steps.

Step 1: Turn off your Android Phone’s internet connection/ WIFi

Step 2: Now open WhatsApp, read and send message

Step 3: Close WhatsApp and then turn on Wifi or your internet connection. Once the internet is enabled your sent message will be delivered, but not last seen status.
